Historic Side Porch
Originally the owners planned to rip out the whole thing which was rotted.
In the process, discovered the footings were never up to code– not dug deep enough.
There was a “creative” bump out made by pervious owner that held the refrigerator. Luckily the whole thing did not fall down and away.
The whole thing sagged about 5 inches- and almost pulled off the house.
Cardea Construction Company was able to retain the historic rafters, and replicated others as needed; we also kept the roof, and ceiling. Cardea replaced the beam, columns, porch flooring and structure below.
